Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong technical background to join our team with not less than of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging deep experience in software application implementation, data migration, and business processes. This role requires a proven track record in project management, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for insurance domain projects.
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions to identify gaps and improvement areas.
- Solution Design and Documentation:
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed business process documentation, user stories, and workflows.
- Develop technical design documentation for system configurations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Project Coordination and Execution:
- Manage project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform risk assessments, track project KPIs, and report progress to stakeholders.
- Data Migration and Analytics:
- Design and oversee data migration strategies, ensuring accurate and seamless transfer of legacy data into Guidewire platforms.
- Support the development of analytical models, leveraging ML techniques, to enhance claims processing and smart reserves.
- Validate data, resolve migration issues, and create reconciliation reports.
- Technical Leadership:
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on Gosu scripting, database queries (SQL, T-SQL), and system configurations.
- Assist in the implementation of Azure Data Factory pipelines and other ETL processes for data migration and reporting.
- Implement best practices and establish quality goals for technical teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills of minimum 5 years:
- Proficiency in Gosu programming, SQL/T-SQL, and working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with tools like Guidewire Studio, Azure Data Factory, Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration strategies.
- Project Management:
- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Technology or other related courses
- Databricks Certified
- Microsoft Azure Certified
- Any other relevant certifications
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building analytical platforms for clients.
- Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks and business process reengineering.
- Prior experience in mentoring and upskilling teams in business data migration practices.
