Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong technical background to join our team with not less than of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging deep experience in software application implementation, data migration, and business processes. This role requires a proven track record in project management, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for insurance domain projects.
    • Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions to identify gaps and improvement areas.
  • Solution Design and Documentation:
    • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
    • Create and maintain detailed business process documentation, user stories, and workflows.
    • Develop technical design documentation for system configurations, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Project Coordination and Execution:
    • Manage project roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
    • Perform risk assessments, track project KPIs, and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Data Migration and Analytics:
    • Design and oversee data migration strategies, ensuring accurate and seamless transfer of legacy data into Guidewire platforms.
    • Support the development of analytical models, leveraging ML techniques, to enhance claims processing and smart reserves.
    • Validate data, resolve migration issues, and create reconciliation reports.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on Gosu scripting, database queries (SQL, T-SQL), and system configurations.
    • Assist in the implementation of Azure Data Factory pipelines and other ETL processes for data migration and reporting.
    • Implement best practices and establish quality goals for technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills of minimum 5 years:
    • Proficiency in Gosu programming, SQL/T-SQL, and working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
    • Experience with tools like Guidewire Studio, Azure Data Factory, Jira, Confluence, and Rally.
    • Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration strategies.
  • Project Management:
    • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management.
    • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Qualifications & Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Technology or other related courses
    • Databricks Certified
    • Microsoft Azure Certified
    • Any other relevant certifications
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building analytical platforms for clients.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment frameworks and business process reengineering.
  • Prior experience in mentoring and upskilling teams in business data migration practices.
