Summary:
The Vice President (VP) – Delivery & Program Management will serve as an accomplished Delivery Leader, responsible for driving strategic, operational, and tactical initiatives across a complex portfolio of programs. This role requires a professional with more than 20 years of pioneering experience in end-to-end program management and Agile transition and transformation. The VP will be expected to utilize sound business acumen to oversee significant commercial activities and deliver critical projects, particularly within the Telecom , Consumer Retail, and UK Public Sector domains. This role is part of the Executive Decision-Making team with accountability for global distributed client services and organizational program development.
Responsibilities:
- Executive Leadership & Strategy: Serve as a member of various leadership committees and the Executive Decision-Making team with respect to program development and Agile implementation.
- High-Stakes Delivery & Turnaround: Drive the end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs, including turning around projects from a critical situation to winning back customer confidence and trust.
- Commercial and Contract Management: Take accountability for commercials, Statement of Work (SOW) creation and renewal, and managing challenging situations.
- UK Public Sector Focus: Oversee and manage UK government deliveries, including projects for the NHS (Care Identity management, Agile delivery model setup) and HMRC (custom declaration service delivery and operations).
- Agile and Digital Transformation: Serve as an Agile thought leader, setting up and managing Agile delivery models, and leading Digital Transformation programs, such as for core heating products.
- Emerging Technology Delivery: Lead the delivery of innovative programs like the MLOps Data engine program and AI/ML Delivery management for banking customers.
- Global Team & Stakeholder Management: Deftly handle multi-stakeholder environments (Customer, Supplier, onshore, and offshore teams) and manage large teams (up to 50 people).
Technical Skills Required:
- Candidates must possess a strong Technical Forte with comprehensive experience across several key areas of technology delivery and architecture.
- Cloud, Data & Analytics: Extensive experience in delivery management for Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and Analytics is essential. Knowledge of advanced analytical components, specifically the Analytic Data Model, JupyterHub ML flow , and experience with data mining and building predictive fraud models using tools like SPSS are highly desirable.
- Development & Frameworks: Proven background in roles such as Technical Integrator/Lead Architect is required, with proficiency in core languages including Java, and associated technologies like JDBC, JSP, Servlets, SOAP, XML, XSLT, and Java Script. Familiarity with Java Frameworks (Spring) and application servers like Apache, Tomcat, and Web Logic Server is expected.
- Methodologies & Certifications: Expert proficiency in Agile methodologies and OOAD is mandatory, supported by a SAFe Agilist Certification (2015). Experience leveraging DevOps principles for automation and resilient application features is key.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with operating systems including UNIX and Windows.
- Emerging Technologies: Exposure to Blockchain Ethereum and knowledge of .NET Certification (2013) are considered beneficial.

- Experience Level: More than 20 years of pioneering experience in IT Management.
- Domain Expertise: Expertise spanning Telecom, Consumer Retail, and the UK Public Sector.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven competence in driving strategic initiatives. Must be a pragmatic leader with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Core Business Acumen: Functional understanding of Business Consulting, Project Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Customer Relationship Management.
